Local Weather for Appleton, WI

| Letter from the Publisher |
Spring is in the air. It’s a time of new beginnings and renewal. Baby ducklings, fawns, cubs, and minnows are all a new. We also have some renewal here at the Badger. We found a new print option that will afford us the opportunity to bring you the magazine each month. We are in search of new commitments from advertisers both new and old friends. We also are looking for new readers. I encourage you to help us in this regard. Bring your copy down to work with you or drop it off at neighbor that might be interested in Wisconsin hunting and fishing, maybe even consider buying a subscription for your long lost nephew. Our goal is to have 20,000 subscribers by the end of the year. That kind of subscription base is what advertisers are looking for and of course advertisers equal revenue, which improves our ability to hire the best writers in the industry. I would like to thank the writers we have enjoyed in the magazine. Our freelance writers are by far the best in the industry. I’ve had to lean on them a lot these past few months, most of them agreeing to write their articles for no compensation at all. Without them our publication would certainly have had an anchor attached to it in very deep water. Instead they have been the life preserver for this publication. So thank you. The publication schedule for the remainder of 2010 is to have you receive the publication by the 7th of each month. If you have a story to contribute please consider sending it to stories@badgersportsman.com. Our deadline is the 20th of the month. You will see our commitment to the magazine as we improve it with each month. It seems that our economy is beginning to improve. Guys are beginning to purchase new boats, new bows, and ATVs. Taking a risk on the health of the country is what it is going to take in order for it to become healthy again. Thank you for your confidence and support of the magazine. I have mailed this issue out to some who have maybe not renewed. Please consider taking a chance with Wisconsin’s best outdoor magazine.
Best Regards,
